Broken shoulder and memory problems

I broke my shoulder about 3 weeks ago by tripping down a step. I'm in a sling and my pain levels are generally manageable so I've started working from home. However I've had terrible problems with my short term memory. Initially it was so bad a couldn't switch from one program to another without forgetting what I was doing, it's got a bit better but I'm still struggling to remember tasks even using a list. Everything is taking forever, especially as I'm working left handed! I'm also exhausted and not sleeping brilliantly so maybe that's not helping. Has anyone else experienced issues with memory after a fracture or a shock? Any tips on sleeping with a broken shoulder would also be appreciated!

Thanks!

With the short term memory problems I have to ask if you are peri menopause age by any chance ?

I'm 39, the memory issues happened overnight when I hurt my shoulder. I had been fine beforehand.

Did you hit your head?

Did you hit your head?

Not as far as I'm aware. I was worried about it because everything went grey immediately afterwards and I almost fainted. But no bruising or tenderness on my head and my partner said I didn't.
