Hi, about 5 weeks ago felt like I had a hair stuck in left side my throat for 2 weeks. Then it felt like a lump, was extremely painful and hard to swallow at times. Had an antibiotic which helped pain, but lump sensation still there. To complicate things, I developed a cold which has now subsided, but lump sensation still there with some pain. I've had a look and can see a swelling which has scared me as there is throat cancer on both sides of my family! Can anybody calm me down with experiences of a non scary outcome? I have appointment with doctor booked for next week but I am spiralling a little! Thanks in advance!
