Awful cold 28 weeks pregnant

Hi everyone I’m 28 weeks pregnant and the past few days I’ve had a bad sore throat and now have a horrendous cold, I can’t get warm. I can’t breathe out my nose, which isn’t helping my asthma. I’ve started getting a chesty cough too . I have done a covid test yesterday and tested negative. It is causing me not to sleep at all at night and I have a toddler so can’t nap in the day either.

I had a scheduled Midwife appointment and asked what I could take to help this and she couldn’t suggest anything. I have so far taken honey and hot water( ran out of lemon) and paracetamol. Has anyone else heard of anything that we can take . Thanks in advance

Cool mist humidifier?!
Vicks on the bottom of the feet with socks on over night. Failing that you have none of that in.. a chunk/slice of raw onion in place of the vicks x

Also a spoonful of honey a day is great for the throat x

I'm pretty sure you can take a decongestant that you spray up the nose; life changing when I was pregnant and had the most horrific cold! I also recommend the plug in cal pol diffuser type things to clear your nose to sleep, they are designed for kids but I used them anyway.

Unfortunately this one is doing the rounds at the moment. Honey & Lemon, Lemsip, Lozenges, steam inhalation with vicks, all helped me get through it a couple of weeks ago

I don't think you can take cold remedies such as Lemsip when pregnant.

Agree with rubbing Vicks on your feet before bed then popping some socks on for sleeping.

Honey and warm milk is great for a sore throat.
