DH appointment at skin clinic-bad news?

DH had 2 funny looking moles removed around 2 months ago and now he had a text that an appointment has been made to discuss results of the operation. The appointment is week after next and he’s convinced that the appointment is made to deliver bad news in person (as in cancer); whereas I think they just want to check that he’s healing ok. He is asking me now what will I do if he dies and I’m kind of freaking out a bit. Has anyone had something similar and it wasn’t bad news?

I had a mole removed recently and had to go in for my results. It was benign. But then I've previously been given a cancer diagnosis over the phone. I wouldn't read too much into it, especially with how long it's been!

DP has had lots of skin cancers removed and he always hears pretty quickly. I can’t imagine them leaving it for over 2 months to do anything. Even if he had been missed, I’m sure they would now squeeze him in quicker than the week after next.
DP has had cancers confirmed by phone after biopsy too so I wouldn’t necessarily assume face to face is always the worst news. Fingers crossed it’s just a routine follow up.

I was told a week after surgery that I had skin cancer.

I had what turned out to be a BCC removed not long before Covid, and they asked me if I wanted a face to face or phone appt for the results, I opted for phone. It was 2 weeks after I had it removed.

What were the moles like, were they dark melanoma type ones or reddish browish ones?

Telling him after 2 months? It's not cancer.

Thanks everyone 🙏 you have completely calmed my nerves. I was initially fine but as DH is a bit of a pessimist I started freaking out a bit!

@Novemberhater sorry to hear about your diagnosis, it’s the scariest thing to hear. I hope you are ok now and they’ve got it all with the surgery!

@BedTaker they were dark with uneven edges…
