Sore Throat and Blisters on the back of my tongue...........

Any idea's what this could be?

Have had a sore throat all day. Just been to collect DD from school and felt like I've got a hair stuck in my mouth, been trying to get it out.

Then looked in the mirror and noticed at the back of my tongue a couple of what looks like blisters.

Could this be early tonsilitis? Over the last couple of years I have suffered with this 3-4 times, having never had it as a kid. As I said I have had a sore throat today, do you think its connected?

Thanks for your help.

I "think" these are big taste buds. Something like that anyway, i have them on my tongue, if i am thinking of the same thing. I am pretty sure they are meant to be there. Are they white or pink? If they are white then i guess they are a bit infected - nice! Sounds like tonsilitis though, its shite isnt it

Just had another look, maybe they are taste buds then, as they are symetrical. (sound really thick now don't I?!)

However, they look like blisters and they are annoying me.

you dont sount thick at all! I have health anxiety (in a big way) and i was hysterical at the surgery once, i thought my tonsils were tumours.

I would get yourself some throat sweets with antisceptic in them, i bet you feel better after that. Mine are symmetrical too.
