Waiting for MRI results

I had a neck MRI last Monday to investigate some sensations I have of something stuck in my throat, and to look at a cyst that was an incidental find on ultrasound.

I was in a state of pure panic last week but have read everywhere that no news is usually good news. However, I’ve just discovered that trusts hold multi disciplinary team meetings and my hospitals are every Weds.

My referral being urgent 2ww, do you think any findings would have been reviewed in last weeks meeting? Failing that, would the consultant advise me of any sinister findings or would they wait for the next meeting before telling me?

This has been going on for so long, I am struggling.

Sorry I don't have an answer but will bump this in the hope someone else can help.

I've been told to expect results from MRI within the next two weeks which seems a long time!

Not heard anything but my follow up has been booked for Jeff weds since before my MRI anyway.

Hopeful that if they’d found something sinister they’d have called me in, though the state the NHS is in... who knows

I've got cancer and yes I believe mdt is weekly and its always been about 2 weeks when I have been told results from MRIs etc and always in a meeting never over phone.

One thing I would say is even before my MRI they said they were certain it was cancer. Hope you both get the all clear or a simple problem.
