What was this? Panic attack?

I was driving down the motorway yesterday, which I hate. Lots of lorries, heavy traffic, I realised I had to move over into middle lane to get onto the correct motorway.

So, I moved over and then my vision went blurred, my heart was racing, I was sweaty and I really felt like I was going to pass out.

Instinctively I swerved back into the first lane so I could stop on the hard shoulder if I needed but then I realised there wasn't one and I panicked even more.

Once I was back on track I felt fine again, just a little shaky.

Anyone had this? And how can I stop it? Scared to drive now!

Yes - sounds like a panic attack - had them when I pregnant - I found it usefull to fix my concentration on something else - like counting your breathing in and out and holding breath for a few counted seconds (not too many!)
