He was still lying in bed when he woke, which isn't lke him. When he came downstairs he said he felt dizzy, then started swaying. I got him to sit down and it seemed to ease off. he is now back in bed, complaining of feeling very dizzy whenever he sits up or stands, he has been sick and says he has a really sore head. Looks like its some sort of bug

how old is he?

he needs to see a doctor.

He is almost 10, I'm going to call teh doctor once DS2 is at school. Although DS2, who has eaten all his breakfast and charged around like a loon for the past hour has now decided that his tummy is sore (it's sore every single morning) and that "you obviously bother more about him than you do me".
In other words, he's annoyed that DS1 is ill and therefore being kept off school!

I'm debating wether to give DS1 some calpol, he has been sick, but if his head is sore it might help a little

I would give him calpol - worst it can do is come back up again!

Probably a viral infection that is affecting his inner ear - that will make him dizzy and nauseous.

Ok so now he has diahorrea!
And DS2 is refusing to get dressed for school

Aw poor ds1!! I hope you managed to shoehorn ds2 out of the house in time for school though - I guess that's all you need, one ill and one playing up

SaltireOShanter · 30/01/2008 09:19

I did get him out on time. Luckily we are just across the road from the school, so I could see him going in! Poor DS1 he has been sick a few times now, says his head is still hurting and still feeling dizzy.
I thought this bug had bypassed them, as they both had a bad one in november!

That sounds nasty. What has the doc said?
