I think i've got a coldsore coming on, and i've never had one before! I can feel a bit of a lump aswell.

What can i do to make it go away . I have no desire to have a crusty mountain sat on my face

That experiment sounds worth a try. It could just be that you are in quite good shape so that your immune system kicks in the minute the coldsore starts up. But equally it could be that your thought-waves have an effect. There is a research (isn't there??) on the rleationshop between cognition of this sort and healing.

I'm willing to give anything a go right now!

i DON'T have a cold sore, i DON'T have a cold sore, i DON'T have a cold sore

No idea about research but it seriously does work. I refuse to have coldsores, Dp still gets them and always seems to forget he cant kiss me but i tell myself it doesn't matter because i dont get them. I say it to myself when the compeed ad etc comes on to. As long as i keep thinking with out doubting it i wont get them [seriously tapped]

ShakeysGirl · 29/01/2008 23:58

You have to really believe it

Dropdeadfred · 30/01/2008 09:58

I do believe in the power of positive thinking...it can help!

thelittleElf · 30/01/2008 22:45

Well after all that it hasn't really come to much

I've still got a small lump on my top lip, but tbh i don't think it's very visible once i've got some lippy on . I did grab some of those compeed patches though, just in case.

It'll be just my luck to wake up with Mount Vesuvious on my face tomorrow, when i'm off for my first nanny interview in nearly 10 years . Well at least they wouldn't be able to forget me

Oh. I thought from the thread title that you were 'getting that Fimbling feeling'.

DH swears by an early application of Zovirax.

thelittleElf · 30/01/2008 22:54
