Is this really ring worm?

Hi all. My DD is almost 21 months. Started off with a little dry patch of skin a few weeks ago, didn't think too much of it as a long term sufferer of eczema myself and so took us to the pharmacy, spoke to a pharmacist who advised Epiderm, used that for 2 weeks and no improvement really (the over the counter stuff never worked for me either, fwiw). Went to the GP today about an ongoing chesty cough for DD and mentioned her skin, he took one quick look and said ringworm. Prescribed us Daktacort cream 1% Hydrocortisone. Does this look like ring worm? Has anyone successfully treated ring worm with this cream? I've had a look online and apparently not even close to the best thing for it and shouldn't be used in under 10s! Here are some pictures of the patches of skin on DD, she does have other patches but not red/ inflamed.

I had ringworm once, I had one normal looking spot with a round ring around it about the size of 10p coin. I was given same cream as you to put on twice daily, it took weeks to go, I don’t know whether cream helped or it just went away on it’s own, it didn’t hurt. I can see a rings on the left and bottom photo, so presume your GP presumes ringworm due to that. Hopefully the hydrocortisone cream will help, but keep an eye on it and go back to GP if you see no improvement.

Has anyone successfully treated ringworm with Daktacort. I read that steroids make the ringworm disappear and it can reoccur. My son has had it for three months now and I have been using lamisil and the spots turned black. Took a long time to get there. But now when we are still applying the cream it has started forming a light pink ring around the spots. I am worried it might be coming again. I am so fed up of it and it has taken over our life.

I got prescribed Daktacort, it took a long time to go, about 8 weeks.

We got prescribed 'daktacourt with steroid' and that worked. Daktacourt on its own didn't work for us.The patch on your daughters cheek is getting quite close to the scalp and ringworm of the scalp does not respond to topical treatment

Just to add, tea tree oil applied neat tot he skin regularly also works. I'd also put a few drop in her bath water.

Please can you tell me how long did you use Daktacort as I was told 7 days. Did you follow up with daktarin thereafter?

Sorry @H4kunamatata I'm not really able to help. My daughter turned out to be wrongly diagnosed, she now has quite bad eczema.
