Can whiplash cause muscle soreness in your jaw?

My car was hit from behind 6 days ago had a sore head almost straight away that lasted for about 48hrs and sore neck for the last 5 days which I've just had to get stronger painkillers for as it feel like my head is going to fall off. the last 3 days my jaw feels really tight almost like I've been clenching my teeth really tight. Is this the result of a whiplash type injury?

As its gradually lgetting worse then I'd definitely get it seen to and it does sound like whiplash. Did you get any treatment or check up at the time?

No I initially put it down to adrenaline wearing off then had a quick google to see how best to treat it rest, heat/ice, painkillers if needed.

I now have stronger painkillers but think I'll need to look at booking a physio appointment or similar to get it checked out as it's been particularly sore yesterday/today with this annoying jaw thing going on too

You would be amazed at how many people have a minor ding, think their fine and two days later can barely move!
Hopefully the stronger painkillers will help, maybe try a muscle rub too x

That's definitely been the case here. I've now booked physio which will hopefully get it all sorted.
