Is my thumb infected

I scratched or cut my thumb last week. I don't know how. It was very mild. I wore a plaster for a day or so.

For the past few days my thumb is sore. It's also red around the site.
I don't have a fever. It's sore.

I placed my hand in a sink of hot water this morning and did a massage and that did help but its still sore.

It's a bit inflamed. Do a salt water bath, nothing better!

Well it's something and nothing really. I'd just leave it alone

Salt water soak 3x a day and put some antiseptic cream on it and cover it. Should sort it out.

No, it's fine.

Put some magnesium sulphate on it overnight, it'll be fine tomorrow.
