Lower abdominal and back pain!

Hi everyone,

I had a dull ache that started off near my belly button that would come and go. Few days later it became a lower abdominal pain that is intermittent, pain in my lower back and the area in between the ribs and hip that does not go. Sometimes I feel it in the groin/thigh area. Not sure if related but my period has not come and is very late (unusual and not pregnant).

So i explained this to my Dr over the phone who said could be muscle pain. I told her it does not feel like muscle pain. I asked could it be cyst as I have had one before. She was 0 help. Said if it continues to hurt to call back. So i did two days later and seen by someone else in person (paramedic in the go?), again explained my symptoms and the guy looked at me and said yeah so I don't know what is causing the pain. Then he said there is a small chance it could muscular, I again said I don't feel it is. I had asked for a scan when speaking to first doctor so he said he would have to talk to her for her to refer me.

Am i being stupid here by assuming my symptoms aren't just muscle pain or are they being dismissive so quickly?

Hi sunshine, what happened in the end with this if you don't mind me asking? I'm having similar symptoms and this came up in my search. Feel very confused by it all and pretty anxious. Thanks!

Hey, plesse don't feel anxious! Have you mentioned anythinf to your GP?

I had an abdominal and pelvic ultrasound as I wanted to rule out cysts or anything like that, that came back clear. I still have the pains 2 months later, on and off. And again a delayed/missed period which is unusual for me, so just keeping an eye on that. But I have no idea still, sorry, not much help.
