Shoulder pain from texting

I’ve been experiencing a lot of pain in me right shoulder muscle (top of back). It’s worse at the weekends and I’ve linked it to too much phone use. I assumed it was because I was bending my head down too much to look at my phone, but I stopped doing this (holding my phone straight ahead) and it made no difference.

Finally I’ve discovered that the pain is caused by my right hand texting/typing on my phone. If I type with my left hand, the pain goes away. Just wondered if anyone else has this problem, and why it might be? It doesn’t seem to be a problem when I use a keyboard 🤷🏻‍♀️

Crumbs I wondered if the pain I have in similar places, including the right side of my neck and upper arm was from overuse of phone but am too addicted to test it out.

Reckon so! Try texting with your other hand for a bit….

Hmm maybe I just need to put my phone in another room for a week and see what happens 😆.

Easier said than done though.

Not sure you need to be that extreme! I’ve found that making sure I’m not looking down at my phone, and typing with the other hand, has made a big difference. Surprised that typing hurts my shoulder though 🤷🏻‍♀️

Haha, it's all connected, your joints muscles etc etc.
