Swallowing Tablets

I've never been great at taking tablets but lately I seem to be so much worse. I had to take two this morning. I tried to lean forward slightly as usually I tip my head back which I'd been told makes it worse and the first one was fine. The second one I tried and it was if my throat was intentionally drinking all the water and not taking the tablet with it so I took a bigger swallow and it got stuck in my throat.

I tried to cough it out but it wouldn't come out so I then drank off the rest of the glass of water as I would normally and it went down.

I don't seem to have any problems swallowing food and drink though.

I cant swallow tablets with water.
After yrs of having the liquid versions I taught myself to chew a bit of soft food like banana and tilt my head back chuck pill in and swallow followed by water.

I cant take tablets easily either. I was on a course of horse-pill sized antibiotics and found if I made my tongue touch the glass as I swallowed then it went down easier. Otherwise Im coughing and spluttering.

I also had issues doing the covid tests at the back of my mouth and they made me sick several times so I think that area just might be oversensitive on me.

I used to have this issue. I found it easier to take them with something fizzy.

I can neck several at a time. Gullet like a seagull.
However, yoghurt is great for helping a tablet to slide down your throat. Something of a similar texture would also work.

I have trouble taking tablets. I've found that taking them both at the same time is easier than taking one after the other, it avoids the throat closing up issue
