Worried about painless hard bartholion cyst

I noticed a few months back while in the bath a firm lump on the entrance of my lady parts, I panicked and went to the gp who after a thorough examination said it was a bartholin cyst and to come back if it got.painful.

It hasn't got painful but it's growing and now.to the point my vagina looks lopsided, it's about the size of.an avocado pip and feels very firm not.soft, I'm worried its something sinister the gp has referred me.to gyno, can a bartholin cyst be painless and firm but nothing dodgey? Wish the bloody thing would go away.

I had something similar, but smaller, a few month back. Started as a painless lump. Felt like a palpable marble. Over a few weeks it got a little painful, developed a small head and eventually popped. Best to get it checked out though

Meant to say it was firm but it felt like I could move it around

Got referred to gynecology hope its nothing sinister

I had a cyst and was pretty big and painless. Then suddenly it went to an abscess which was very painful and I had it drained. When it went to a abscess I couldn’t bear to feel it, but honestly it felt like it was the size of an orange.

Being referred is a good thing, I’m sure your mind will be out at ease

It might not be painful if not infected. But because of its location, infection can happen very easily. Go to the referral appointment even if it's not hurting at the moment. Good luck!

How did you get on. I’ve just developed one.

Had it removed yesterday under general anesthetic
