Bumped my head

So on Wednesday night, I bumped my head by
bending down to put something in my bag under the stairs and accidentally nutted our open plan stairs right on the corner in the middle of my forehead.

It really hurt for a couple of minutes whilst I just held onto it and then I got some peas out of the freezer, wrapped it in a tea towel and held it on for 20 mins.

There was a slight red mark and still hurt but decided to go to bed after having a couple of paracetamols as I thought a headache was developing.

The next morning I felt ok, had a feel of the lump and it had got bigger but didn't really inspect it as I had to go to work.

I got home at around 8pm and it had become really sore. I had a look and it was a definite bump but it also has what looks like the head of a spot, small pinprick of what looks like pus.

Is this normal. This morning it feels slightly reduced in size but pinprick is a bit bigger.

Is this a cause for concern. Other than the bump hurting, I have zero other symptoms of concussion

Sound like it might have become a boil, or have a little local infection.

So it’s not a boil, just a little local infection. Keep an eye on the redness, and check it’s not spreading . I think it will be ok.

Is that normal after banging your head

Wash it with soap and water, maybe a little antiseptic cream and cover it with a plaster of you'd like to

Is it possible it's just a spot that happens to be on the bump? Just thinking, you may have been touching/rubbing at your head more with it being sore after your bump and introducing more bacteria than usual to the pores.
In any case, it looks ok, just keep it clean Smile
