Hi everyone I broken my ankle 2 places 4 weeks ago had it surgically fixed with screws and plates they didn't cast it just a couple bandages and then put the moon boot on when I'm doing anything going to toilet ect..
Well tonight was in bed and must of just totally forgot while getting up put weight on it not full but more than what I've been doing no boot either it hurt and I'm back elevating it . Has anyone has similar experience and been fine it's been healing so well and I'm just so scared I've done damage especially with my post op x-ray only being in 2 weeks time.

I currently have a broken ankle in 3 places, 11 weeks post accident and 6 weeks post second op and I have accidentally put weight on it a couple of times when in wedge splint I had after 2nd op. It hasn't made a difference, had my X ray this week and everything still in place and now can start putting weight on a bit with moon boot.

I think the occasional accidental weight bearing is expected and as long as it isn't sustained it should be fine, that's the impression they gave me.

Fingers crossed for you, I have found the last 11 weeks pretty tough, just looking forward to trying to get back on my feet now! Good luck
