Random hunger pangs

This started in 2015 after drinking some cheap Lambrusco wine.
I developed some uncomfortable hunger pain, but not being hungry.
I went to GP, she said that kind of pain doesn’t exists.
I remember I saw another GP and she did some blood tests and gave me Lansoprazole and after few weeks it went.
Then apprx every few years the very same pain arrived usually after drinking some wine or coffee etc. Disappears after few weeks.
Lately I had it more often, usually drinking lots of water helps.
I must add I’m extremely poor water drinker- all my life I drink literally nothing, just a coffee in the morning and that’s all of occasional some fizzy drink like cola etc.

I read somewhere it could be severe dehydration however I don’t feel dehydrated.
The last few days is so bad. Eating doesn’t help at all. It’s constant.
im worried now about stomach cancer..

It’s not hunger. It’s probably a bit of irritation of your stomach lining. That kind of wine is quite acidic. I get this kind of pain if I drink too much caffeinated tea.

@ClaudiusTheGod thankyou, that’s what the Gp who gave me the Lansoprazole said too.
But it keep coming back more often now, every few months. I suppose not drinking much liquids does not help. I keep promise to myself that I will drink more, bought all these bottles with time reminders, had Alexa remind me to drink too.
Nothing helps much, I can go whole day without a single drop of water.
Also I had Covid last month and that sort of triggered it as had a terrible nausea with it.
It’s not hunger, I can eat whole dinner and the pain is still there..

Maybe an ulcer?

Have you tried antacids or Gaviscon?

You know you need to drink more water.

Maybe... drink some water?

@GreenFingersWouldBeHandy i know I’m so bad with the drinking, but I’m like this most of my life, poor water intake.
Yes I tried Gaviscon, Rennies. Gaviscon usually works fine..

Catsforeverinlove · 17/10/2022 19:01
