Feeling rough and intermittent vomiting

Nursery informed us they were short staffed and had many kids off due to gastro illness.

low and behold, yesterday I woke up feeling dreadful and vomited twice.

Thing is, I haven’t vomited due to illness in a good 20 years and as it was only twice I’m not sure it is actually related to the nursery! DS and DP were also ill last week but no puking.

Anyone know what virus causes this? I’d have expected a lot more puke if it was a stomach bug...

I've been ill all week - sore throat, cough, feeling rough. Not covid as I've tested repeatedly. Woke up Fri thinking I felt better then threw up, again yesterday and today not actually been sick but feeling queasy. The sickness may be related to my HRT but I'm really not sure! But if it isn't that then whatever it is is a bit weird, not been sick at the tail end of a cold before.

@blackberrybat hope you’re over it soon! I’ve not had any other symptoms, just an overall feeling of crapness and the puking.

Weirdly I am either ovulating or about to ovulate, could be something to do with the puking as I’ve noticed my hormones have been wreaking havoc on me for the last few months.

Oh god, I'm exactly the same! Came down with a cold and nasty cough on Friday, thought I was feeling better yesterday evening, woke up today feeling super queasy and dizzy and threw up once this morning! Im a teacher and we've had a few off this week so it's clearly a bug of some form but jesus, I feel rotten! Hope you feel better soon.

I feel the same, came down with a sudden cold / sore throat / body aches on Thursday and I've been unwell since. Never experienced the nausea with a cold before and my stomach is really tender and painful. Haven't actually been sick but I def feel it every now and again. It's the kind it pain I get when I've been sick

Ahh, I've been feeling weak and wobbly, sometimes nauseous with a stomach ache, and also have a slight sore throat and bit of a cough, and very lethargic. Not covid as I had to do lateral flow test.

Whatever it is I blame my children. Even thought they haven't been ill.

I don't actually throw up that much with a stomach bug luckily.

Maybe once or twice.
