Aneurysm

Had a sudden-onset excruciating 'headache' at top of of head late Tuesday night. It dissipated after 7/8 minutes & I went to sleep. Realised yesterday morning (Dr Google) that it could have been an aneurysm & unbelievably managed to get GP appt for teatime yesterday. They sent me straight to a&e where I had a CT scan about 2am this morning (clear) My friend, who's had an aneurysm has NOT stopped telling me by text, that I should have gone to another hospital that has an 'amazing' Neuro Dept.. and that of course the scan is clear because I "left it so long/the bleed would have dispersed/if I'd gone to 'her' hospital I'd have got a true picture" - is she possibly right? Did I lose time/opportunity as it was 24 hours after the event?
Now waiting for lumbar puncture😬

No idea but I wouldn't listen too much to others at this stage. I'd mute her messages.

How are you feeling now?

If it's only a small one that yes it's possible for the ct scan to be clear the lp will show blood if there's been a bleed.

Thank You - yes I was letting her comments wind me up in an already scary situation. Enjoying the enforced rest in strangely quiet room/NHS toast & tea (reminds me of after labour 35 years agoGrin)
