Falling

I'm in my 40s, peri menopausal but have patches.
Do get migraines, these are related to my menstrual cycle and I haven't had them (or expected to have them this week).
Slightly overweight (thanks peri), do exercise and eat well.
Wear glasses, checked recently and all good.

Have been wearing comfy, flat shoes.

In the past 48 hours I have fallen over 5 times, including twice downstairs.

I have fallen whilst walking (so already moving, not standing up and feeling lightheaded).

Worryingly I think that I am blacking out.

I am already black and blue from yesterday, I could take you from top to toe telling you which bits hurt.

Yesterday I hit my face once and I have hit my head, but I'm not sure when.

I really, really am not going to go to hospital unless I am dying.

What fresh hell is this?

If you are blacking out you need to go to the hospital. You need an ECG at minimum.

An ECG not an EEG?

Possibly both, but an ECG is the priority. EEGs investigate for seizures - what you describe doesn't sound typical for this. You need blood tests a full cardiac and neurological examination and probably a CT head. You should not drive.

Oh crap.
Ok, thank you for your help.
