Ultrasound on lymph node in neck

I’m having an ultrasound on a swollen lymph node in my neck today.

This lymph node has consumed me for 2 months. ENT has already put a camera down my throat and found nothing, but they said we will do the ultrasound just to make sure.

It’s not visible but I can feel it.

Has anyone had this and had it turn out to be nothing?

Yes, me! About 7 years ago. The nose was so swollen that I couldn’t wear a necklace or a scarf. It was raised for 7 months in total. The ultrasound showed nothing unusual and I didn’t have any signs of infection at the time. It “disappeared” about 8 weeks after the ultrasound. Good luck!

Ive just got back. Apparently none of them are swollen! Not sure why I am suddenly able to feel a prominent one then. 😑

Pleased you’re ok. I’ve just re- read my post and noticed that it says nose instead of node! 🙄
