How Long Does It Take For Blood Test Results To Show On My NHS App?

Jodie569 · 10/10/2022 21:12

I had my bloods done last Tuesday morning at the hospital, but also had bloods done previously at A&E a couple weeks before that, and they came back the next day.

I am going through a health scare so I am wondering why it would take longer?. The specialist added he wanted a full Thyroid ones done too. I am scared that something is wrong- My WBC was just over borderline (this has happened years ago and went back down) so I am getting more worried that it has maybe gone up even higher?. Would someone call urgently if it was abnormal?.

I have health anxiety too and hate waiting on results.

I find they're usually their the next morning but think my DP got his thyroid one in 2 working days recently.

When I had bloods I had my FBC back the next day but my CRP the following morning.

I'm pregnant now and blood results don't even go onto my NHS or badger notes app I have to phone.

Also, they might just not be on your NHS app as mine only shows GP record.

Phone the hospital and ask for the results.

Hi PinkButtercups, Thank you for replying. Congratulations on your pregnancy.

I will call hospital in the morning. I do have the GP record is where they usually are. Maybe its best I do not see them... I am sure if they was that bad someone would call?. 😬

If you had them last week they should be back by now unless they're specialist bloods in which can take weeks?

Thank you.

I can only view my GP blood results on my NHS app. I've gone way back even from when I was in A&E and had bloods and they aren't on there. It's literally only bloods I have done at my GP practice x

Oh you are right. They was done at hospital because my GP had cancelled my blood test that morning and didn't have any appointments for another 2 weeks. My a&e results came up but they was just normal ones. I just want to see them lol.

I loved looking through my past results, even goes back to when I was a baby and what vaccines I'd had. It had all my weight and BP results. I find it so interesting. x

I get you want to look at them though! The waiting is the worst!

Yes it's interesting to see all your vaccinations isn't it! Odd too haha.

Hope you get your results in the morning and get a good nights rest x

Thank you, yes it’s a nightmare waiting. I’m thinking it shouldn’t be too bad because I had them done the week before. Just the thyroid ones added. X

Hi Pink, thank you for asking. Nope still not on there. I have been so busy at work I haven't called in, I have my ultrasound/ENT Friday so hopefully they will have them. Not sure why they are not on my records yet though.

Hope you're well x

Oh that's a shame. Sometimes it just doesn't get put on there!
I had bloods done at hospital yesterday morning at a routine appt. Ended up back over the hospital that night (pregnancy related) and they had them already.

So hopefully yours are just sat there too! Mine wasn't uploaded to anything though!

At my surgery they call you if there's something to discuss. But the timing of appearing on the app is very hit and miss, I have always assumed that a doctor has to give it the all clear to be loaded up when they've had a look, so it'll depend how busy they are. But I'm just guessing. Like others have said, sometimes it's a couple of days and sometimes a week...

ah yes same here! I’ve had a few calls when it’s been abnormal in the past.

Oh they weren't concerned but me having health anxiety went into a panic. Isn't the mind a wonderful thing when it comes to health anxiety 🫠
