Single swollen lymph node in groin

user6363 · 10/10/2022 17:45

I’ve noticed a lymph node on the right side of my groin is swollen. It’s moveable and not hard but certainly firm although this is what they usually feel like when they swell. It’s about 1cm I think.

I don’t have any infections in that area although I do have chronic hip pain, but that’s not an infection!

I will book a GP appointment if it’s still there in a week, but has anyone experienced similar? My friend has just been diagnosed with cancer (we’re both late 20s) so I feel a bit wobbly about it.

bump!
Just had my smear come back abnormal as well - obviously unrelated but not fun!

I’ve got a hard lymph node on one side of my groin. Been there forever. Notice it more now I’ve lost weight (intentionally). It’s never grown and grown though and considering the number of years its been there, I guess its normal.

What was your sm result? Slightly abnormal? (did they specify?) I’ve had treatment for CIN3, but again this was many years ago. I don’t think the two were in any way related.

I think it’s new because I’ve felt mine before and they don’t usually feel this big, but to be honest I think it’s probably nothing. I hope, anyway. Just trying not to Google, but I have a GP appointment on Friday!

Oh the changes were just borderline. Nothing to worry about there luckily! I’ve got a colposcopy soon but I’m not concerned at all. @Lemons1571
