Breast Indent

Hello. I am a mom to 3, and have been breastfeeding my last child for almost 3 years. I noticed on my right breast, near my armpit fat, I have an indent when my arm is relaxed. I am freaking out. I have looked everywhere online to see if anyone has a similar case, but I have found nothing but terrifying news. Everything I find says that it usually happens when the arm is raised above the head. Mine is present without my arm being raised. When I do raise my arm, the indent follows the breast contour and disappears. I am just so worried. I do have an appt scheduled, but would love any other input. I will post a picture when available.

Try not to panic. When you see GP they will refer and you should be seen quickly. I had a dent on my nipple and then my whole nipple started going inwards (still
does) I had a mammogram and a scan and it’s fine. Getting seen is the most important thing now.

Honestly, try not to worry. I know that's easy to say, but you have an appointment scheduled and that's all you can do at the moment.

I am rather larger on top and this breast droops a lot. I do have health anxiety so this just worries me so much. Thank you both for the advice.

@Kbos333 As others have said just wait for your appointment, no good to ignore it or thinking the worst, and go from there. Hopefully you won’t have long to wait.

@Kbos333, can I ask how you got on with the doctor?
I have the exact same kind of indentation at the moment and am working myself up worrying about it. Mine, like yours, is there when my arm is down and disappears when I raise it.

Really hope it all worked out ok for you 🙏🤞

I had breast cancer a couple of years ago, only visible when raising arm (as shown in image)and looking in mirror , it was an indent . I had a mastectomy.
