I have a small boil/cyst on my outer libia lip down there had it 3 weeks now , shaved a little then 4 days later this lump arrive ,doesnt hurt went to see the doctor said it will go in time has anyone had similar ,i am a worrier and just wish it would go ,

Friend has one of these, nothing to worry about but apparently if it doesn't disappear by itself or gets worse/sore you have to have them treated by a gynae.

Thanks , how long did your friend have it and did it go by itself? only had it 3 weeks , and is quite small , hurt at the start with did swell up but not anymore ,been taking hot salt baths to try to help , just worried its something really bad

Nogin, please try not to worry, my friend was the same and rang her doctor about 5 times! It really is nothing sinister at all. She discovered it about 6 weeks ago and said it got a little 'head' on it so squeezed it! probably not a good idea! Anyway she thought it had gone but has now got bigger so had some anitbiotics but may well have to have it drained by a gynae.
Hope that helps, best advice would be leave it alone and the baths should help.

[smile ] Thanks for that , will do , i did try to squeeze mine thinking it would pop ,but as you said got sore and all swelled up , so went to doc who said leave alone , then 10 days later went to docs again who then said same as before and didnt suggest antibiotics as thinks it wouldnt help and would probably give me thrush instead , i guess i just want it to go and be back to normal , but helps to know that im not the only one with one .
