Any recommendations for good cream for itchy legs please? Worse at night. Been using Vaseline intense moisturiser which seemed to work for a while but now it’s not helping

E45 anti itch cream

Aveeno or something with magnesium in it like BetterYou magnesium lotion. And get your iron levels checked.

Do you shave your legs? Mine were itchy at night but I eventually realised it was a reaction to the shaving soap I was using.

Thanks for the recommendations. It’s for my DH so not caused by shaving 🙂

ordering some of the e45 anti itch cream.
If that doesn’t work will order some of the other suggestions
thanks again

Is he taking an antihistamine? Why is he itchy?

I'm allergic to lots of washing powder / liquids etc

Dodie66 · 10/10/2022 15:45

We use the same washing products all the time so I don’t think it’s that. It flares up from time to time.it was ok for a few months in the summer but the last few weeks have been bad again

The last flare up I had was because I Fairy (the utter bastards) had changed the fragrance in their liquid and I hadn't noticed on the bottle. It was a tiny image that advised on the label and I only found out because of a similar "why am I itchy" thread on here which prompted me to check the bottle. I'd used it for over a decade without issue at that point.

Could be body wash, shampoo, soap - anything that comes into contact with the itchy area. Also could be dry air if you have the heating on or he works somewhere that does etc.

Could also be he needs to rinse more at the end of a shower, or use moisturiser as soon as he gets out the shower before he dries off....
