Exhausted in the afternoon

Does anyone else really struggle with their energy levels in the afternoon and/or have any tips to manage? From about 12 - 3 or 4pm I'm completely wiped out, if I'm at home i have to go for a lie down and find it really hard to get back up. I'm 37 with a 2 year old son but I've had this problem long before he came along

A friend had an issue with this - it turned out she was very low on iron. Maybe request a blood test at the GP.

I have always struggled with this. I think it's my natural body clock. Now I mainly wfh I sometimes have a power nap at lunch or mid-afternoon...absolutely life changing feel refreshed and I have load of energy for the rest of the day

I used to struggle with tiredness in the afternoon and almost fell asleep at work a few times when I used to be in the office. My vitamin D levels were really low. I take a supplement all year round now and feel so much better.
It might be worth you getting some blood tests done at the GP.

Yes, I have been feeling like this for a long time. It’s so hard to get motivated. I have to really push myself to get going again. I’m okay in the morning and later on in the day. I have an underactive thyroid but my levels are stable according to my medical records. I’ve started taking vitamin c, b vitamins and iron to see if that helps. I plan to try eating smaller meals/snacks more often as the dip typically happens after lunch. Perhaps it’s to do with blood sugar. I don’t know what is causing it, but it gets me down some days.
