Pap test and CIN3 treatment

Hi ladies

Bit of background...
I'm 13 weeks pregnant and due my smear/pap test, I have been told to wait until 12 weeks after birth as pregnancy can cause false results.

From 2017-2018 I had abnormal cells picked up which went from CIN1 to CIN3 in 1 year. I then received treatment (biopsy and then LLETZ) and had a smear 6 months after treatment which came back clear and I was put back onto 3 yearly tests.

I'm just looking for a bit of reassurance really from anyone who has had similar CIN level or treatment, I'm usually so good with my appointments and it's worrying time that I've only had one smear since all the treatment and it'll be over 4 years from one smear to the other. I have been referred to a consultant to check my cervix in two weeks so I will mention all this to them but I don't much more about how the CIN levels work. Any opinions/experiences welcome and appreciated! X

Hi,

I had CIN3 when I was 21. I also had Let Zaha was on yearly appointments to start with for repeat smears. That was 28 years ago and I've never had an abnormal smear since.

The LLETZ procedure is really successful so please trust your doctors. If you get any worrying symptoms of course go back to your GP or if it's just to put your mind at rest you can get private smear tests.

Good luck with the pregnancy x

Let Zaha translates as 'LLETZ and' - bloody autocorrect!!
