Hi,
I have just been the dentist and mentioned my teeth were aching a bit at the front, she basically said I have a massive overbite and the only teeth that are actually meeting are the back 2 so they are the only ones that do any work. I do look a bit horsey and I haven’t been able to bite a sandwich or anything like that for as long as I can remember so the top teeth are so far away from the bottom set.
anyway she said I need adult braces and the NHS do adult orthodontics in extreme cases and she was going to refer me as it is an extreme case. She said it’s a very very long wait but that’s fine as I’ve been like this forever.
just wondering if anyone has had adult braces from the NHS and what happened?
and also anyone that has had braces for an overbite which kind did they have, what did they do etc?
I am 42 by the way so I’m feeling abit a nob having braces at this age, all caused my being a massive thumb sucker too as a child!
