Who should I approach re. ankle issue of over a year

Yes been about eighteen months. Nothing happened of nite, no sudden exercise or training related injury. Just one day struggled to put any weight in my ankle, although I’d only limp for the first few strides and then be fine.

Eighteen months on I can walk fine in flats, complete weakness in that ankle if I try to wear heels. As a side note I sprained that ankle as a teenager, approx 30 years ago and there’s an area that has always stayed slightly swollen, so I ponder if those things are related.

Anyhow who would I approach for treatment? I’m assuming the GP wouldn’t be interested so I’m wondering about a sports physio?

Yes I'd recommend a physio. You should be able to find a physio clinic who can direct you to the most appropriate clinician. Most likely MSK.

What does MSK stand for?
