Recovery from fall on head

I had a crashing fall during a 10k cross country race last week. Landed on my face & right side, resulting in concussion, fractured hand, fractured ribs. 2 sessions in A&E. The day after the fall I was continually passing out & vomiting. Had to spend a few hours on a drip.

After a week off I'm now debating whether to go back to work tomorrow. We have a (booked month ago) holiday starting at the end of this week. A cruise so will be relaxing!

Plan to wfh at least tmw, then in office.

Wise, or should I just take this week off too? I feel very sore & my face is a (not pretty) picture. I do feel I need to go in, if only to say thank you to my colleagues who kindly got me some flowers & chocolates plus a signed card, which I was so touched by.

Opinions please?

You don't sound well enough to work. That's a nasty fall.

I would take the week off then go on your cruise to relax and recover fully.
