This is my first time using mumsnet. Is anyone able to shed light on these symptoms? I get them every few months. They come on suddenly and generally go after 3-7 days. I’m pretty sure they occur a few weeks after some sort of stress build-up. It feels like an adrenaline surge.

  • Spaced out, difficulty concentrating, head spinning (but not the room, if that makes sense)
  • Palpitations / strange sensations in chest
  • Feeling very hot and clammy
  • Feels like I forget to breathe
  • My sleep isn’t affected, but the symptoms are the first thing I notice when I wake up.

This has been going on for 10 years. I’ve had countless blood tests and ECGs - all normal. My GP isn’t worried because they’ve been happening for 10 years with no obvious cause/harm done.

I don’t have children, I’m also not pregnant. I’m in my late 20s. This is the only place I know where someone might know something.

Would it be wise to exercise off what feels like excess adrenaline?

I don't think anyone can tell you whether to exercise or not. Ask your GP

Do you suffer with anxiety?
