Wonder if anyone can advise. I'm not sure there's much more there GP can do.
My DS is 12 and he still wets the bed the odd night. He took AGES to be dry at night and he went to the local enuresis clinic around age 7 where they started him on desmopressin. He took that for a while and it worked really well. He is now mostly always dry at night but when he has a fizzy drink during the day or is in a really deep sleep he'll wet the bed. He doesn't take desmopressin most nights but if he's had a lot of non water drinks, say on holiday or on a special occasion he'll take desmopressin. Sometimes he'll wet the bed despite desmopressin and sometimes he'll wet the bed because he forgot to take it when he had a fizzy drink during the day. I would like him to stop taking this altogether as I'm worried his body will 'depend' on it but he just can't go without it. I've asked him to stop drinking fizzy drinks but I know he might have the odd one maybe once or twice a week at school with friends.
Is this unusual? Should I be worried?
