Lowering blood pressure!

Hi, has anyone managed to lower their blood pressure by diet changes alone and by how much? My blood pressure is bordering on being too high and I would like to lower naturally as do not want to take medication.

losing weight
reducing alcohol consumption
lowering salt intake
increasing exercise
giving up smoking

all the above can reduce BP

I lost a few pounds and reduced (my not insubstantial) alcohol intake a bit. I was borderline pre and high. I'm now firmly in pre, with the odd normal reading.

Small changes can make a difference.

How much do you drink @Vintagecreamandcottagepie ? I think it's probably drinking too much that's contributing most to mine. I'm already a healthy weight and I walk quite a lot but I do drink a fair bit over each weekend- although don't drink at all mon-thurs
