Sinuses or tooth problem??

Before Christmas I had a bad cold which led to bad sinus pain over Christmas & New Year.
most of this pain was on the right side of my face.

Now I have a tender left cheekbone and round my eye socket. Sometimes I have an earache, pain (not agonising) in my neck and behind my ear - gland feels up. On that side my upper wisdom tooth has come through at a wonky angle - could it be that causing the discomfort? It doesn't hurt when I eat, push at the tooth or gum. It's just the left half of my face feels odd - like there is pressure all over it?? I do have a clicky jawand that has been playing up for a while.

Please tell me it's just sinuses as I'm terrified of the dentist although I have booked an appointment with a new dentist in 2 weeks time - he is lovely according to my friends!

i would say that sounds like your sinuses tbh, i had something like that after a bad cold. Hope you get better soon

Schilke - I have exactly your symptoms, other than the swollen gland. My upper wisdom teeth have been through for a while, so I've just put it down to sinus trouble. Actually, it's started to get a bit better over the last couple of days (after about a month of discomfort). Jaw is still quite clicky though.

Another possibility might be TMJ (temporomandibular joint syndrome)...i.e. a dodgy jaw joint which can cause most of these symptoms.

Sympathy! I hope you feel better soon, and good luck at the dentist.

That's interesting sc. Had a look at tmj and seems plausible. Just experienced the biggest flashing zigzaggy floater in my left eye - took 20 minutes to go. Bizarre - not sure if that was connected to anything, but feel slightly worried now! Feeling a bit spaced out!!

Sinus trouble I'd say. I had this really badly last winter and couldn't chew anything for a fortnight my jaws were in so much agony. Couldn't get any meds for the pain as I was pg at the time.

Get yourself a steam inhaler from boots and inhale 2-3 times a day every day without fail. I'm having a mild case at the mo and it's the only thing tha eases it for me.

i have this aswell, im also trying to figure out if it is wisdom tooth related, i have had my wisdom teeth for a while but the upper one on the side where the pain is feels sort of like hollow inside...
