Does anyone have any idea what this could be?
My left under eye area has started pulsating / rapidly twitching. It’s a visible line that goes outwards across the eye bag around 1-2cm from the tear duct area my left eye. It started a few days ago, sometimes it’s a constant vibrating like movement other times it’s a pulsing twitch if that makes sense? Only noticeable when I look at it.
I’m sure it stopped last night but it’s now doing it again this morning. I can’t feel the movement on my finger.
I’ve just had a heavy cold with a lot of mucus from my nostril on that side until yesterday - not sure if this could be a cause? Also embarrassingly a rubber band snapped and pinged onto this eye at the weekend, it was a direct hit, again I don’t know if this could have had an effect?
Googling doesn’t really have any explanations only to contact GP after 2 weeks of ‘twitching’ - I’m well hydrated, my sleep could be better but I average around 6-7 hours per night. I’m 39. Recent eye test was all good just before the summer no need for glasses etc. I do use an iPad and screens quite often.
Ideas?
