Prominent Lymph Nodes in Breast

I've recently had a mammogram and untra sound after being referred to the breast clinic due to them due to some breast pain I've been having.

When I was there they said all was OK and sent me on my way.

I've received a copy of the letter they've sent my gp about the tests etc today and it said that I had prominent lymph nodes in each breast but everything else was OK.

Can anybody tell me what this means? They didn't say anything about this my visit. Obviously its nothing to worry about but I haven't been feeling great for months and wondered if this could be a sign of something else going on.

Did you found out what it was after all?
I went to my OB and I told him that I was having some discomfort on both breasts and he found a lymph node in one of my breast but he said it was normal but I’m going to get a ultrasound done to be on the safe side.

No, everything settled down and I feel fine now. No idea what it was.

I will have ultrasound on the 29 hopefully good news. I’m scared though. 😔

It's understandable to be scared. I think our minds automatically go to the worse case scenario. From the little I know it's very unlikely to be something bad. Hope it all goes well for you.

Lymph nodes can pop up if you have an infection or virus. I remember rushing my DD to the GP when these giant, rock hard lumps appeared behind her ears. I was convinced (thanks Google) that she had leukaemia. The GP, bless him, dismissed it immediately as being viral and then spent half an hour talking to me about anxiety
