Mosquito bite reaction

I tend to have a worse reaction to mosquito bites than other people, but this one is driving me mad! It's so itchy and hot! Apart from anti histamine, is there anything I can put on it to help it settle?

Have you spoken to a pharmacist, I use a steroid cream. Do you want to post a pic.

Hydrocortisone cream and an ice pack

Thank you. It won't let me attach a photo for some reason. I'll keep trying

When this happens to me my doctor gives me a course of steroids antibiotics and a massive dose of antihistamines, doesnt work straight away but if i do nothing i get cellulitis.

Are you in the UK, @Hotpinkangel19? Can you pinpoint when and where you were when you got bitten (different types of mosquito bite at different times and in different places). Are you sure the mosquito wasn't carrying anything nasty?

My skin overreacts to mosquito bites and horse fly bites and if I put hydrocortisone or any other cream on it makes things much worse. The only things I've found to help are a flannel that's been in the freezer and/or aloe vera gel (but only if I haven't scratched the top off the bite or the skin surrounding it).
