Picked 5yr old ds up from school to be told that he has been miserable all day, and then this afternoon was complaining of headache, feeling thirsty and feeling cold when he was hot to touch.

Have given him some calpol for his head, he has no temp, but is a bit shivery and has basically slept since we got home, except for a short break to go to the toilet.

He did say he felt sick, but he says that about a million times a day anyway.

Sound familiar to anyone ??

chicken pox is rife at DD1's nursery and in the school attached to it.

Nutcracker that sounds like my ds2 (7). Picked him up from school and his teacher said he'd been feeling a bit off. He hadn't eaten his lunch and said he felt sick. He got home and had a piece of toast and feels a bit better. Now complaining of a headache.

Oh could be any number of things then I suppose.

I long for the summer and periods of good health for longer than a few days. Feels like someone is always ill at the mo.

I wouldn't mind to much if it were chicken pox, as i'd rather him get that as young as poss.

So far he has always managed to avoid getting it.

I had a terrible virus last week - shivery but with tempreature, achey, headaches, extreme tiredness, my brain not in the same room as my body.

There's always some awful virus around isn't there

southeastastra · 24/01/2008 17:23

i've got that too pointydog, started last night feel really hot and cold and sore throaty it's pants

Yep there certainly is, I am spending small fortune on calpol and other stuff.

He is still sleeping soundly and peacefully so I am hoping that his headache has gone when he wakes.

He does occasionally get migraines, so hopefully it is just that.

He has just woken from a 3 hour sleep and eaten a gingerbread man. He is now full of beans and supposed to be going to bed in 20 min LOL.
