Metronidazole

I know the general advice is to wait 48 hrs after a course of metronidazole before drinking alcohol. I stupidly was late taking my last tablet today and have a night out of Saturday. So it’ll be 45 hrs after that I plan to have a couple of drinks. Anyone got any idea if that’d be ok?!

Wow, lots of bad reactions there! My last course, I had several drinks after 48 hours though and was absolutely fine!

I was recently on these tablets I took my last one on a Sunday morning about 8/9am and had one drink on the Tuesday night about 9pm and I was fine

@kissmelittleass thanks. Think I’ll have soft drink for the first part of the evening and wait til closer to 48 hours! Was absolutely fine waiting 48 hrs last time and that was a big night out!!!

It just depends if you have a certain metabolic pathway in your liver. Some people do, some don't, it's like Russian roulette
