Suspicious mole on face

I've had a really odd mole thing appear on my face - it kind of looks a bit like a wart, and is crusty - but I've never had a wart before. It's appeared suddenly over 3 weeks. I went to the gp and she looked at it, said its odd that it's "dry" but that is probably a "lesion mole" and to come back if it changed or started bleeding.

I'm thinking of going to a Sk!n clinic and paying £50 for imaging check- had anyone done this? And if they do confirm it looks suspect would the gp then investigate further based on their report?

Why not just go to the GP? Even at the heart of the pandemic mine took a strange mole very seriously. Even with an online appointment I was referred straight to a dermatologist. Turned out fine, was nothing to worry about but I don't see the point in paying then going to the GP anyway.

OP clearly said that she has already been to the GP!

My bad. I skim read that badly Confused

In that case you're probably right!

Just go back to GP and say it’s not healing, and you’d like a referral to dermatology.

Insist on referral
