Labial lump

user6363 · 19/09/2022 21:57

I’ve just felt a small, tender moveable lump about the size of a grain of rice. It’s inside my labia majora so if I pinch it, I can feel it. You can’t see anything but if I just press down on the labia it hurts and I can feel it.

Any ideas or experience?

I had the same and it was nothing, just fat. I got it checked by a gp and so should you. But don’t worry op. It’s most likely nothing.

user6363 · 19/09/2022 22:01

Thank you! I’m definitely going to phone the GP tomorrow to make an appointment.

Probs a blocked gland

SallyWD · 19/09/2022 22:15

I had this once and it completely disappeared after a couple of weeks

user6363 · 19/09/2022 22:16

I’ve realised it’s not exactly in my Labia majora but almost like, if I pinch it it’s right down at the bottom under the skin.

Could it be a Bartholin's cyst? I would agree get it checked though

MikeWozniaksMoustache · 19/09/2022 22:30

As pp said likely a cyst, I had one that started as a pea size which turned into a beast that would have had sporners corner drooling at its peak. Get a GP to take a look.

Ladyofthelake53 · 19/09/2022 22:33

I've had a couple removed sebaceous cysts apparently

PairDrop · 19/09/2022 22:35

I'd honestly give this a week or so before calling a doctor! It'll more than likely just be a spot

user6363 · 19/09/2022 22:35

I’m really prone to cysts and ingrown hairs on my bikini line but never there. It’s almost like right in the bit between the inner and outer labia. So weird! I have a smear next week as well so the GP will be seeing a lot of that area 😂

I had a pea like lump, had it removed as was having surgery for something else so it was a bit of a two for one. Sorry, can't remember what they called it.

stevalnamechanger · 19/09/2022 23:09

Cyst more than likely . I always pop them 🫠🤷🏽‍♀️🥲 hurt like hell

hagathachristie · 19/09/2022 23:54

Bartholins cyst .

I had one that got infected and ended up in emergency surgery but that time I was in agony with it . It came back and I had it lanced , it just came back again .

It's not infected so just live with it , it's bloody ugly but I can't bring myself to pop it ( last time it was done with a scalpel under local )

Tummytroubles22 · 19/09/2022 23:56

I had one for about 6 months, I was checking it one day and it had gotten to point where I thought this has grown a lot I should see the GP, it popped right then and was true my magical. I keep hoping it will fill up again but it never has.

user6363 · 20/09/2022 08:24

It’s just so odd because I can’t see anything. It’s totally under the skin!

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 20/09/2022 08:39

I wouldn't see the GP immediately for this, have some salt water baths and see what happens over the next couple of weeks.

Katnissx · 20/09/2022 08:41

Google Bartholin's cyst, it is under the skin

lovelilies · 20/09/2022 08:44

Yeah just leave it a while. I get them in inner and outer labia, some are painless some are very sore!
They tend to either pop or disappear by themselves.
I'd wait and just tell the practice nurse at your PAP smear

Ein · 20/09/2022 09:23

I get something similar if I wear too tight jeans 👀

user6363 · 20/09/2022 11:08

Ok, thank you! I’m very busy so keen not to make a GP appointment I don’t need.
