No I didn’t experience that, although it did take a couple of days before the bleeding actually lessened so I was still losing a lot in the first 2/3 days anyway. They were always a full week long though but didn’t get longer with the medication.

I've taken both, the Tranexamic Acid took a few days to work. I tool it for a few days and it stopped the heavy bleeding. I don't take it anymore and take Memfemic Acid at the start of each period, which reduces blood flow and helps with the pain.

Didn't work for me. Do you know what is causing your heavy bleeding? For me it was an oddly positioned fibroid which needed removing. Once it was gone, so did all the flooding. The Mirena coil also was a godsend

I hated tranexamic acid. Yes my period was I guess a bit lighter but it was just massive clots then constant bleeding with flooding. And it lasted 3 weeks! I tried it for a few months and had the same each month. I'm now waiting for a consultation for an ablation.
