A Couple of Questions about the Morning After Pill.

I had to take the MAP 2 weeks ago (condom failure.) My period is due in a week and I am normally regular to the day. I was told though that I may have a period earlier than normal.

The last week I have been really moody. Like terrible PMT type moods. I have been so crabby at DP (although quite a lot of it has been justified, but that's another thread .) Also I have been weeing very frequently and feeling really bloated. I know these all sound like I am about to start my period, but it is really severe symptoms.

Is this normal after taking the MAP or is their no connection at all?

have taken the MAP before and dont think i recognise the symptoms, maybe it would be sensible to take a pregnancy test, sorry i know that probably wasnt the answer u where looking for

I was thinking of that but I think it would probably be too early to test before. I do just feel so hormonally odd, but I thought that it probably wasn't linked to the one of high dosage of hormones in the MAP. The booklet that comes with it doesn't mention any of these symptoms.

I'll probably do a test at the weekend. It would be the end of the world if it hasn't worked.

Just wish my tummy didn't feel so bloated. I blimmin look pregnant at the moment.

I took the MAP about 18 mo ago and I had the feeling of constantly needing a wee (but when I got in the loo, I was unable to pass anything!). It was bloody irritating since I was going about every 40 minutes or so during the day but I came on about 1.5 weeks after I took the MAP. It was a heavy period though . That was Levonelle.

It was Levonelle that I took. It's just one tablet. I feel like the needing to wee frequently is linked to my bloated tummy i.e something's putting pressure on my bladder. I'll wait till the weekend and then do a test. Testing now wouldn't necessarily be accurate would it? Does taking the MAP affect how soon you would get a positive result?

NO you get a posatove result from 2 weeks after concenption, depending on the actual hormone levels.

If you conceived 2 weeks ago you should/could get a positive now if you tested.

We had sex on day 7 of my cycle. I normally ovulate within days of my period ending. But this month I didn't get any of the thick clear discharge I normally get. Is that cos the MAP altered my hormones and stopped me ovulating, or would I not get that if I had got pregnant? Sorry if I'm giving TMI. I know it's all speculation and really I'm just going to have to wait a bit longer before I do a test, but I'm just looking for reasons as to why I'm feeling like I do at the moment.

I meant to say in an earlier post it wouldn't be the end of the world if it hadn't worked. I really should double check what I write.

Feeling slightly better today, but still needing to wee very frequently. Tummy less bloated today which has made me feel a lot better. Thanks for asking Loopylou6.
