It started out with severe diarrhoea and stomach pain with burping out of nowhere and was so bad I couldn't stomach food and was living on soup, docs checked for fecal impaction/pylori both negative but since then I haven't gone toilet normally and my stool has white in, I've been doing stool's tinier than bullets. I went a&e for the white stool and they said the concern there would be liver and they did bloods and my bloods were perfectly normal, I did read online white stool could also be a high fat diet and I have been a takeaway lover for the past few months so maybe that's it? Either way I'm not sure if this is severe constipation or something else but it is starting to worry me and did all start with a bug I believe it now was but the stool just has not gone back to normal :/ I'm wondering if anyone has any tips or went through a similar experience? I do have a bit of health anxiety so always come up with worst case scenario but my stomach is really starting to hurt due to not going properly :(

Oh! That's interesting, my mums side are sufferers of this but for some reason that never crossed my mind

It’s worth trying something like symprove. It’s expensive but it really helped me.

But go back to your doctor and insist they check for inflammation that could be sign of inflammation associated with something like colitis, which would need treating.

It could be IBS but it sounds quite extreme and has come on suddenly so needs checking out.

I will mention I've suffered with constipation since I was a child, but nothing to this extreme, affected after eating certain things aswell like I can't drink caffeine now :(

I would ask for the relevant tests to rule out everything and check it's IBS.

You say you've eaten a lot of takeaways and have issues with caffeine too which really does make me think it's IBS. As it comes on suddenly with certain foods. I'd cut all the crap out of your diet and see if it helps.

Thank you, I'm going to cut takeaways and try and eat a vegan based diet (try) and see if it helps before I contact the doctor, I'm a frequent worrier so do want to avoid ANOTHER visit if I can

Ask Your GP to arrange a stool sample for a FIT test and raised calprotectin which shows inflammation in the gut.
i am going through the testing procedure atm but have different symptoms to you.

I only really notice mine are worse after eating but am definitely constipated because I haven't had a normal bowel movement in a few weeks now since this all started, I will ask GP for further testing if does not improve after diet changes as I must admit my diet is awful
