Tiny spots on palm

Stropalotopus83 · 15/09/2022 20:47

Does anyone have any ideas on these tiny spots? Sometimes they are incredibly itchy and sometimes not. They also come and go and I sometimes get dry skin around them. Only appearing on my left palm.

Looks like this www.nhs.uk/conditions/pompholyx/
I get it in my hands and sometimes feet, mostly when it's hot.

HollyLucy2409 · 15/09/2022 21:21

Exactly what @Giveaschitt says, I get it when I'm stressed, originally used bite cream from the pharmacy. Didn't improved so got a steroid cream from the gp, which clears it up within a week.

Eumovate cream is the best for this, really takes the itch out and heals the bumps up nicely.

Yes it’s eczema. I have the same. Use a fragrance-free moisturiser and try to keep your hands clean/clear of chemicals. My hair product sets mine off, if I don’t wash it off my hands properly. Liquid hand soap also makes it worse.

Yes I had that on my palm. Thought it was caused my some cheap anti bac. Had to get cream from dr in the end.

This.

I use Dead Sea salt and antihistamines to control mine.

One year I had it covered all over my hands. I was close to asking for them to be cut off Grin

Masses of empathy - it's not nice.

I get this right in the centre of my palms when im stressed! It goes eventually but it is annoying

HamHand · 15/09/2022 21:29

Definitely pompholyx eczema as mentioned above. I’ve had it on and off for ten years, mine tends to be in the sides of my fingers and is definitely triggered and made worse by stress. Steroid cream used sparingly will help. Itchy little buggers aren’t they

bloodywhitecat · 15/09/2022 21:31

Was going to say pompholyx too, itches like buggery.

Stropalotopus83 · 15/09/2022 21:35

Great, thanks everyone, will get some cream tomorrow. I'm thinking it might be the hand wash we use in work so will take the one we use at home in to the office x
