Colonoscopy after gastric surgery

I had a gastric bypass in 2018. I've not felt right since despite following advice.
I get a lot of abdo discomfort. I was given an upper endoscopy in 2019, told all clear, & sent on my way. Additionally my iron levels, my B12, & my Vit D are shot.
So i need B12 jabs every 8 weeks, iron infusions, & despite supplements D & calcium are still very low. I am dizzy & extremely tired. GP is not interested.

I recentlly did a routine stool test which came back as positive for blood so I have been told I will be given a colonoscopy. I had the info call today. I explained that I sometimes have bright red blood when I have a bowel movement & I have a lot of abdo pain. They are going to fit me in 'in around 6-8 weeks'.

I wondered if the two things could be linked, or if the colonoscopy comes back negative, I should ask for further consideration for the roux en y to be reversed?

Either way, they will get to see what’s going on, depending how far the camera can go from bowel into intestines. My DH had a colonoscopy but they couldn’t get a full picture of intestines, due to obstructions so he had to have a CT scan. He was diagnosed with diverticulitis last month and is expecting another appointment soon to see how he is getting on. He cannot fault the service he has received and every appointment has been face to face, to go through everything with him.

@Mindymomo I'm glad your DH had a good experience - that sounds very thorough.
I don't know if my post was very clear but I've had my procedure and although they said they coudlnt see very well (as the prep didn't work well due to my medical history and I was discharged). But I am still in pain & I've had no advice.
