Cramping and spasms

For a few years now if I laugh my ribs seem to cramp and it is really painful. Sometimes it's at the front lower on one side, sometimes the back, sometimes higher, sometimes both sides simultaneously.
Now it happens if I reach for something or if I move to turn over in bed, or if I move an arm or a leg and I'm woken up.
Maybe coincidentally but I'm also getting more cramp/spasms in my jaw occasionally, neck, hands, feet, ankles, legs.
Obviously I need to see the GP and that is a mission in itself, but has anyone experienced similar or have and thoughts on what it could be?

@hiredandsqueak what about asking for your GP to do bloods for Vitamin D, inflammation markers and a full blood count.
